We have a new Russian student at our school who doesn’t speak any English.  He couldn’t understand how to login to the computer with his user name and password.  His teacher, Mrs. Smith tried writing things down on paper accompanied by a lot of pointing, but that didn’t help either.  Then she thought about using an online translator.  She went to http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and typed in the message.  She printed off the translation and took it to her student.  Immediately his eyes lit up and he nodded his head.  Mission accomplished!
