The Visual Thesaurus is a three dimensional thesaurus and dictionary with an intuitive interface that encourages exploration and learning. Available in both a Desktop Edition and an Online Edition, the Visual Thesaurus is a marvelous way to improve your vocabulary and your understanding of the English language. You have to see it !!! It is an outstanding application. Larry Blackmer showed me this and I have been an evangelist for this program every since. I love it and use it all the time. You can try demo it online for free at www.visualthesaurus.com more »

This is a good example of what a webquest outline for students looks like. The teacher has done an excellent job of putting together the various parts that students can then create their own webquest.

Copies of Old United News Newsreels along with more modern news reels from the National Archives are now available free on google. These are a fasinating group of newsreels and show many of the former world leaders from the 30's and 40's as well as more modern video clips from the "Eagle has Landed" clip of the landing on the moon. Any history teacher should just relish the opportunity to be able to see and show these clips to their students.
